Agentic Kitchen

The Restaurant Kitchen Analogy

  • Agents are like assistant chefs in a kitchen.
  • Skills are like recipe cards that define how to accomplish a specific task.
  • Context is the set of ingredients needed for making the recipe - the chicken, onion, salt, butter, etc.
  • Tools are the stove, frying pan, knife, spatula, etc., that are needed to complete the task.
  • Instruction files are the rules for the kitchen.
    • Wash hands frequently
    • Call out loudly: "Behind!", "Hot!", "Sharp!", "Corner!"
    • Label and date everything

As an engineer, I’m the master chef, making sure everything is going smoothly.

IMPORTANT

Each chef (agent) only gets the ingredients (context) they need to perform their cooking task. This keeps them focused on just the task they are doing without affecting other chefs (agents).
